摘要:proteincagenanoparticleshavethepotentialtoserveasmultifunctionalcelltargeted,imagingandtherapeuticplatformsforbroadapplicationsinmedicine.however,beforetheyfindapplicationsinmedicine,theirbiocompatibilityinvivoneedstobedemonstrated.weprovideherebaselinebiodistributioninformationoftwodifferentsphericalproteincagenanoplatforms,the28nmviralcowpeachloroticmottlevirus(ccmv)andthe12nmheatshockprotein(hsp)cage.inna飗eandimmunizedmicebothnanoplatformsshowsimilarbroaddistributionandmovementthroughoutmosttissuesandorgans,rapidexcretion,theabsenceoflongtermpersistencewithinmicetissueandorgans,andnooverttoxicityafterasingleinjection.theseresultssuggestthatproteincagebasednanoparticlesmayserveassafe,biocompatible,nanoplatformsforapplicationsinmedicine.
